We are strong believers in the Church, not the big white building or the organization with a staff, programs, and a friendly sectary to take you message. No, we believe in the Church that is the gathering of disciples Jesus, called together to walkout an authentic, powerful, Spirit-filled life.
To that end, we encourage people to connect on a deeper level than a friendly Sunday morning hand-shake. It is our vision to Christ lived out in living rooms, at kitchen tables, around meals, in the office, and on the streets of our communities.
“Small Groups” is catch-all phrase to describe the many ways we gather around the Kennebec Valley during the other 6 1/2 days of the week.
Life Transformation Groups (LTG)
LTGs are 2-4 person discipleship and accountability groups, usually of the same gender, centred around engaging Scripture for support, mutual accountability and prayer for the lost.
Cell groups a small, 5 to 10, groups that gather on a weekly or biweekly basis to support and encourage each other as the writer of Hebrews says;
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. – Heb. 10:24-25
Missional communities are RiverRock’s primary method for discipleship, reaching communities, and mutual encouragement. Missional communities are often involve 10 – 25 people, but often have a focus on much larger communities or demographic groups.
