Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
RCF is committed to serving the needs of the Body of Christ and the people Kennebec Valley community.
We recognize that God is doing something in this Valley and when we look to Him to see what He is doing, we can join Him on that mission.
If God has an “official” mission statement, it would be “to fill the whole world with His glory”. Because we want to align ourselves with that mission, at least for our little corner of the world, RCF sees it’s mission to:
“See every man, women, and child in the Kennebec Valley a disciple of Christ Jesus.”
This seems like a tall order, especially for a small handful of people facing 107,000 individuals, each with their own hurts and needs, but we have a plan to take advantage of the simple mathematics of love and grace, by “making disciples who make disciples“.
We do not believe that it is the job of the institution of “Church” to reach a community, the job of a few payed staff and committed volunteers, but that it is the mission of each person that calls themselves a disciple of Jesus to be equipped to reach out and heal the sick, mend the broken, lift up the fallen, and find the lost.
It is our desire that RCF be place where those disciples can be equipped to go and equip others.
